Heating Instructions

All your meals from The Food Doctors arrive ready-to-heat! All food should be kept refrigerated and enjoyed within 3-4 days. The protein packs, Not-a-Bars, and quiches come in plastic pouches that are BPA-free, freezable, and microwave-safe and can be frozen if not eaten within 3-4 days.

Microwave Instructions (Note: Heating times may vary based on the power of microwave being used and personal preference. For best results, start with the minimal time recommended and add time in 30 second intervals as needed.)

Quiches:

  1. Heat on high for 30 seconds in plastic pouch (or out of pouch on a microwave-safe dish).
  2. Add more time in 30 second intervals, if needed, to reach desired temperature.
  3. Use caution when removing from the microwave and opening as meal might be hot.
  4. Enjoy!

Not-A-Bars (We’re Muffins!):

  1. Enjoy cold, room temperature, or warmed on high for 30 seconds in plastic pouch (or out of pouch on a microwave-safe dish).
  2. Add more time in 30 second intervals, if needed, to reach desired temperature.
  3. Use caution when removing from the microwave and opening, as meal might be hot.
  4. Enjoy!

Quick Essentials:

  1. Remove the protein pack from the to-go container.
  2. Heat protein for 1 minute in plastic pouch (or out of pouch on a microwave-safe dish).
  3. Add more time in 30 second intervals, if needed, to reach desired temperature.
  4. Use caution when removing from the microwave and opening, as meal might be hot.
  5. Enjoy the protein on the side or on top of the salad and veggies or toss with the salad and parsnip purée. 
  6. Enjoy!

Chef Driven: (see note below for cooking our beef dishes to your preferred wellness)

  1. Heat for 1-2 minutes in the to-go container or on a microwave-safe plate.
  2. Add more time in 30 second intervals, if needed, to reach desired temperature.
  3. Use caution when removing from the microwave and opening, as meal might be hot.
  4. Enjoy!

Our beef dishes are cooked medium-rare*. To keep medium-rare, heat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes. Heat 3-4 minutes for medium and 4-5 minutes for welldone. More time may be needed depending on the power of the microwave.

For the Chargrilled Beef Burger: Remove the lettuce and burger buns from the to-go container and heat the beef patty, tomato, and caramelized onions for 1-2 minutes. Add lettuce to bottom half of the burger followed by the cooked burger patty and topped with the burger bun.

Precision Proteins/Market Produce:

  1. Heat the protein or vegetables in the pouch for 1 minute (or out of pouch on a microwave-safe dish).
  2. Add more time in 30 second intervals, if needed, to reach desired temperature.
  3. Enjoy!
